Whitney Skin & Wound Clinic
Whitney Skin & Wound Clinic was founded by Dr. Whitney Dessio, a board-certified physician in Preventive Medicine and Wound Care, with one simple mission: to make expert care easy and accessible—for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers everywhere.
With over a decade of hands-on experience solely focused on both skin health and wound care, Dr. Dessio brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and compassion to her practice. She has worked extensively in acute care hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, giving her deep insight into the challenges patients and caregivers face every day.
Dr. Dessio earned her medical degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and her Master of Public Health from Columbia University. She currently serves on the American Board of Wound Management exam committee, helping shape the future of wound care medicine.
At Whitney Skin & Wound Clinic, she combines advanced medical knowledge with practical, real-world solutions—whether it’s helping a wound finally heal, restoring confidence through skin health, or supporting providers and caregivers with the tools they need.
